I am 36/m, 185cm and 312 lbs with a waist size of 80cm.

I have Diabetes and high levels of cholesterol, in addition to a family history of obesity.

What diet will work for me keeping in mind the Diabetes and high Cholesterol levels.

Obesity, Diabetes and high cholesterol are all results of lifestyle and fastfoods. You will have to try a diet coupled with exercise to benefit. That will also help controlling your cholesterol levels.

I would not recommend diet pills.

Once you figure out which diet and fitness program you are going to undertake, I wouldn't rule out diet pills altogether. Fucoxanthin is a relatively new ingredient released to the market as a thermogenic to help people lose weight, but clinical studies show that it may be effective at helping with diabetes.

Dr. Houser can probably elaborate more on this, as he was the one who brought this to my attention.

So you would get the benefits of both things, which seems to be exactly what you are looking for.

I don't have diabetes or high cholesterol, but one of things Dr. Houser is especially good at is diets which modulate insulin release, in particular ketogenic diets and exercise plans which are suited for that type of diet. I have specifically spoken to him about ketogenic diets and diabetes and I believe he would be the perfect person to lay out a plan for someone in your predicament.

In my opinion, for what you get - a personalized diet, supplementation and workout plan, is cheap for what you would pay for a personalized trainer and dietician, who probably do not have have the credentials as Dr. Houser.

Also have the same problem with my husband. For diabetics, the best type of diet is a low-fat diet with complex carbohydrates. Simple carbohydrates are not the best thing for diabetics. These include things like sweets, candies, cakes, sweet drinks and jams all of which are rapidly absorbed and digested. They will cause a surge of sugar levels in the bloodstream which can cause serious problems.
