I’m trying to figure out the difference between “good” fats and bad fats. What types of foods would I find good fats in, and how much, if any, should a person trying to lose weight while improving their muscle mass be eating daily?

Bad fats are saturated fats found in animal products such as meat, dairy, eggs and seafood. Also trans fat found in commercially packaged food such as french fries, popcorn and margarine. The good fats are monounsaturated fats including nuts, avocado and olive oil found to help in weight loss. Also polyunsaturated fats like salmon, corn, soy and sunflower oil. The key is to replace bad fats with good fats in our diet.

Saturated fats and trans fat are bad for your healt. Saturated fat can be at solid state on a room temparature and if you notice it that will blocked on your arteries once you cinsumed it. There are also good fat to eat they are call mono saturated and plysaturated fats. Example of these are olive, canola avocados and nuts.

Vegetable oils are terrible for you. They are polyunsaturated, very unstable due to their double bond structure. When you buy them in the store, they are typically rancid and when you heat them only slightly, they polymerize into trans fats. Heart disease has steadily increased since the introduction of these fats and oils.
