Hello, I've just been for a check-up with my doctor and he has told me that I am obese omg He has told me to start eating sensibly, exercising etc. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried and would recommend Weightwatchers? There is a club in my area, but I want to check it out first.

TIA

Isnt that the program where you get points for what you eat, and whoever gets the most points wins? lol

Quite the comedian! bouncy smile

I never did get that diet. The food pricing back in the day was crazy. Maybe that has changed now.

Glee, you're 1 post from the century mark!

I've been on Weight Watchers and I got weighed yesterday. I was ecstatic that I lost 3.0 lbs this week!! I have lost a total of 15 lbs. since starting 6 weeks ago. I so happy, and I can't wait to see me hit the 20 lbs mark.
I would definitly recommend WW!

For me, weight watchers is the only diet that has ever worked. I like the idea that I can still eat whatever I want, as long as I count the points and stay within my alotment for the day. I also like the fact that you can "bank" points that you don't use during the week, and use them to splurge a little on the weekend, which is when I tend to cheat more.

Everybody is different, but WW works wonderfully for me. Good luck with your weight loss! thumbs up

A major problem with weight watchers: it entails a lot of costs, particularly joining the meetings. Maybe if it will be more affordable, then we can consider joining. smile

Go to the internet, and search for:

- weightwatchers dining out guide
- weightwatchers complete food guide

The information is quite accurate with the book.

Oh, you can probably search for some information in the internet.

One: Set the number of points per day. This will depend on several factors, like your gender, age, height. This one, you have to do some research.

Two: Search for a calculator to convert food into points. Use google to search for one.

Three: Weigh yourself once a week, in the morning before you it. It's kinda confusing, but read, read, read. smile

If you have the discipline, you don't really need it. Drink water, control the food that you eat and exercise. Enjoy life!

The tea will not make you lose pounds, it is just a supplement to give you energy.

Is there any tea that will make you lose weight? What about green tea or black tea? I have heard these work.

Yes, green tea and red tea are good for detoxification of your body. When you are on a diet, it's great to drink tea not only for detox, but also rich in fiber, also to remove unwanted fats and cholesterol build up of your body.

This is one competitive way to lose weight. It must involve 2 or more people to do this diet program and this is similar to the TV show the biggest loser.

Competition is good for weight loss. When 2 people are competing to lose more weight, it can motivate the person to eat less and stick on their diet plan and achieve the biggest pounds they shed off.

You can whatever you want. The mechanics of this diet program are how many pounds you lost and how many calories you’re eating per day.

This is a weekly based diet. It’s like a club and there will be someone that will watch you regarding your weight and the food that you are eating.

I haven’t heard of this type of diet program. I think this is the best of what I have read and heard.
