What do you mean by your question? Certain foods affect people differently. When you say feelings, do you mean your moods? Chocolate seems to have some pretty interesting effects on many people.

For energy, anything carbo based is going to give you energy. Do you want sustained energy or immediately energy?

The list is a pretty wide one. I'll try to categorize for every posts.

Ok, let's start with the basics, on your question about increasing energy level.

1. It is ideal to eat healthy food (with 200-300 calories each meal) on regular intervals. Eating a one high-calorie meal a day to boost your energy isn't a healthy alternative.

2. You don't have to go that far in looking for energy food. They can be found in your cupboard and refrigerator. Unsalted almonds, apples, bananas are some.

I like to have a carb/protein mix like a nut bar or almonds with string cheese. Avoid heavily sugared or caffeinated stuff, or you'll crash five minutes later.

^On caffeine

Caffeine affects your mood depending on your consumption levels.

1. occasional coffee drinkers - happiness, alertness, improves sociability
2. moderate coffee drinkers - suppression may lead to sleepiness
3. heavy coffee drinkers - anxiety and nervousness

Beware the energy drink trap...if you want jitters, nausea and irritability, that's the way to get them.

Do you know why? That is because chocolate releases endorphins, "happy" hormones from the brain. What's more is that chocolate phenylethylamine, known to increase sexual attraction.
