Recently, I've read that dance therapy is good for maintaining a sound health. How far it is true? Are there any benefits derived from dance therapy? Looking forward to your valued opinions and comments.

It's a therapeutic use of movement to improve mental and physical well being of a person. It focuses on the connection between the body and mind to promote health and healing.

Dance therapy is founded on the premise that the body and mind are inter-related entities and the state of the body affects the mental and emotional well being of a person in diverse ways.
It helps bring out the inner feelings of the participants and helps them develop a healthy personality. The joyful rhythm invokes positive emotions and visualization of the beauty of nature.
Dance therapy uses dance as a method of treatment for diabetes, stress, hypertension, cervical spondylitis and migraine using the same communion of the body mind factor.

I have nothing against dance therapy, in fact, it's a good form of exercise.
One precaution though: if you have a serious illness such as cancer or heart failure (or anything that applies), consult your doctor first.

And unlike other exercises that become boring eventually, you'll never get bored with dance because you'll not run out of new things to try

Base on what i research dance therapy helps stimulates and relaxes us from stress and any other sickness. It is a psychological treatment that utilizes dance movement to express the feelings with in you. It is also good for the body specially its a cardio exercises. Basically it is a treatment of psychology that utilizes dance and movement to express and/or deal with feelings and experiences.In other words it is another method for helping you work through things.
