Help! Been coughing for two weeks.
I've already used around 3 bottles of cough medication and it still wouldn't go away. It's terrible especially at night. I already have dark circles around my eyes bcoz of lack of sleep. It's also embarrassing when I can't help but cough in front of a client or my boss.

The doctor will most probably prescribe a combination of antihistamine and decongestant for acute cough. Try a spoonful of honey before you sleep, too. Its viscosity coats and soothes the throat. That'll help you sleep better.

May be you need to consult a specialist. I think you may have to go for antibiotics. Coughing for such a length of time is not a good indication. Consult your doctor immediately. Take care.

Could it be possible that you didnt slow down and rest and make changes to your environment in order for you to get well?

Well in this case if its more than 1 week and still the coughinh stops its better to see a doctor. Because it might lead to dis order in the lungs or worst tubercolosis.

You have to find out what causes cough. It may be allergies, which may be possibly caused by a lot of things - baby powder, perfume, dust, mites, etc.

^ Yes, that’s a good way to track the cause. Studying the cause of your cough will help you lead to a conclusion if you have tuberculosis or not.

If a person coughs and has blood spots on it, this is a sign of tuberculosis. Some coughs from due to allergen and irritation to things. It’s better to understand the situation and do not assume that you have this certain disease.
