You can beat heart disease significantly by making positive lifestyle changes. Even if you already have heart disease, doing these things can help you prevent a future heart attack:

Stop smoking. Smokers are two to four times more likely to develop heart disease than nonsmokers

Control high blood pressure

Lower high cholesterol levels

Lose extra weight

Be more physically active -- Being inactive can raise your risk by 50 to 140 percent

Manage diabetes. About 75 percent of people with the condition die of cardiovascular disease, not diabetes

PROPER DIET AND DAILY EXERCISE.

In most diseases, these two can help save someone's life and make it longer.

To avoid heart disease, avoid eating too many fats and eat more veggies especially those food rich in fiber. Eat oatmeal everyday helps to flush out bad cholesterol that will lead you to heart problem or failures.

Monitoring what you eat and your blood pressure will prevent you from getting heart problems. If you already have hypertension, better drink your maintenance medicine.

Avoid getting too much stress. Stress is also one cause of heart disease and hypertension. After your days work, relax and unwind.

I think depression can also lead to heart failure. If a person is so depressed, it can trigger heart attack because you worry so much and you don’t give yourself any breaks from depression.

Heart diseases and ailments are also caused by heredity. So, if one of your family members have these type of conditons, then you will have a great risk on getting it.

Most people look at this disease as age related but it’s not. Even a child at 6 years old can have heart failure or conditions. We must think that the lifestyle we are living in right now can definitely harm the health of our children in the future.
