Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery that removes fat from different parts on the human body. Mostly liposuction is performed on thighs and abdomen. Removal of large volumes of fat is a complex procedure and it does not suit everyone. The surgery is done on a case by case basis.

Liposuction is a drastic way of losing the bulge. I personally don't recommend it. If you have the time to exercise, do that. Rather than undergoing a risky liposuction.

Liposuction involves physical removal of fat cells from a given area reducing the bulge. It is done using mostly 3-5 mm metal cannulae attached to a source of suction. These are passed into the subcutaneous tissue through small cuts. With a series of to and fro movements, the fat is removed from the connective tissue.

One of the most popular cosmetic surgeries done today is Liposuction. Liposuction can be used for under the chin, neck, cheeks, upper arms, breasts, abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs, knees, calves, and sometimes even ankles.

The Doctor administers either local or general anesthesia. Then, through a small skin incision, he inserts a suction tube with a sharp end into the fat pockets of the area you want to reduce. The dislodged fat is literally "vacuumed" away through the suction tube. A vacuum pump or a large syringe provides the suction action. Several skin punctures may be necessary to treat large areas. After the surgery, pressure bandages are wrapped to stop the bleeding and to help maintain shape. Bandages need to be kept in place usually for at least 2 weeks.

You have to remember that Liposuction is usually used only when exercise and diet fails as it is not only expensive but also very bothersome, with the aftercare required as it is a surgical procedure.

One side effect of liposuction is your wallet. It is a very expensive way to remove bulges in our body. You can try to get a gastric balloon surgery and it is really cheaper than liposuction.

Yeah, I’m with you Robert. You will get a lot of money wasted in getting liposuction. Try to exercise and go on a diet.

But come to think of it, it will definitely shed off the extra pounds. People sometimes save for this purpose losing weight. If you are tired of waiting for your diet and exercise to work, then you can do this.

If you have more money to spend, then it’s best to undergo liposuction. It’s still best to exercise and get a well balanced diet.

Sometimes liposuction is needed for reducing weight. Those people, who are weighing over than 350 lbs, need this to remove excess fats and skin and afterwards they can go to exercise to tone their muscles.

Why they cannot just go on a diet and lose weight and indulge to liposuction? I saw several people weighing 400lbs and miraculously lost 200lbs of dieting.
