A lot of people seem too be talking about negative calorie foods and drinks lately so I thought I'd give you all a little list of the fruit and veg with zilch calories smile

Vegetables
asparagus
beets
broccoli
cabbage (green)
carrots
cauliflower
celery
chicory
chili peppers
cucumbers
endive
garlic
lettuce
onions
papayas
spinach
turnip
zucchini

Fruit
apples
cranberries
grapefruit
lemons
mangos
oranges
pineapple
raspberries
strawberries
tangerines

Try making a YUM juice with the fruits and mix the vegetables into a nice vege lasagne, so good.

Nothing? No calories? I find that hard to believe. A medium-sized apple is around 54 calories, for example.
Or did I misunderstand?

All food contain calories. Water is the only true zero calorie food. The food list you mention is called negative calorie or fat burning food that has calories but needs more calories to digest resulting to net loss of calories from the body fat.

I think there is no food that doesn’t give any calorie. People are mistaken that calories makes us fat. That’s not quite true. It can give us the energy to burn for our work or exercises. When you abuse the calorie intake, then that is fattening.

IMO, I think veggies have a negative calorie count. I tried eating veggies for the day and it doesn’t give me the needed energy and stamina for my exercises and sports activity.

Calorie is the nutrient that mainly gives energy to our body. I know that veggies don’t have enough calories but I don’t think that it has negative calorie content.

The problem with those bottled juice drink is because of the sugar content. I still go for low cal or diet sodas.

Yes, that’s true. There is no food without calorie or negative calorie. If a veggie as high carbohydrate it can also turn out to be a calorie once we consume it.
