Seems like glutathione is the new wonder supplement ... it is an antioxidant, an immune system booster, and can help cell repair. It slows down ageing and smoothens and lightens the skin too. Do you think all these are true? Are you using glutathione? Pls share your observations.

I don't use it but my cousin did. She did get lighter skin which is by the way the side effect not what it's really for. She said it also helped her with her throat. She used to easily get irritations on her throat.

Glutathione is an antioxidant, a tripeptide. It protects cells from toxins like free radicals. According to latest research studies, glutathione taken orally is reportedly not well absorbed across the GI tract. However, I'm not sure whether it can be called a wonder supplement. Perhaps, it is too early to pass judgement on Glutathione.

just to add, my cousin used to have these hand allergies and hives that appear on her arms nearly everyday.
we noticed that we rarely see those hives on her. she lives a block away from us and her boy always comes over to our place so we definitely can see that there is rarely any hives now. could be an effect of the glutathione since that's the only new thing she did.

A lot of celebrities claim glutathione gave them good health and whiter skin but we know that it has a lot to do with their cosmetologist. Since a lot were curious of its results and others reported side effects, lately, a valid report was released for glutathione products which are safe to use and products that are fake. Awareness is a must before using new products.

Glutathione not only acts as a natural detoxifying agent of the body, it also regulates other antioxidants such as vitamins C and E. It is already prevalent in the cells of the human body and is primarily synthesized in the liver where it is abundant. Due however to the media hype created by its skin whitening side effects largely exploited by the cosmetics industry, its potential for health and wellness is often clouded by suspicion when marketed as supplement. But I agree that one must be cautious when thinking of using it as a supplement. The market is flooded by products that may do more harm than good.

Not all liver supplements have glutathione. Glutathione is another type of supplement for strengthening the liver and also whitens the skin.

I have always heard that Glutathione is useless when taken orally. IV is the only way to get the full benefits, brain protection etc.

What do you mean by IV? Does it have any connections with glutathione?

Via a vitamin drip through a naturpathic doctor. If ingested, glutathione breaks down and cannot be utilized by your body.

Can you explain a little more about this method?

You can go to a naturpathic doctor and get a vitamin drip. A vitamin drip has vitamin C, B's etc. The doctor also puts what ever other vitamins, homeopathic remedies etc. that he/she decides you need. All in an IV. It goes directly into your blood stream. By doing this, you avoid digestion, taxing your liver and also being broken down and the vitamins not being as effective.

The way you explained it, this seems to be added to a dextrose bag and injected to the veins and travel to the blood stream. Am I correct?

Dietary glutathione is found in fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, fish, and meat. Asparagus, avocado, and walnuts are particularly rich dietary sources of glutathione.
You are correct, one can get the full benefit of Glutathione intravenously.
