I think Lipitor is the most common medicine for cholesterol. This was also prescribed to my father by his cardiologist. It really works and it maintains his cholesterol even if he eats some fatty food.

Are there any effective maintenance meds and supplements that help lower down cholesterol?

My mother has hypertension and sometimes her cholesterol level goes up. She was using Lipitor to maintain and lower immediately her cholesterol level. She hasn’t tried any other medicine for lowering cholesterol.
