Could someone help me work out a diet plan? I know I should be eating about 6 small meals a day, I just don't know what times I should be having them at so they're spaced out enough.

I get up at about 10am and go to bed at about 1am, now should I be fasting after a certain time or what? Please, any help will really be appreciated. smile

Hm, try...

10am - breakfast

1pm - small lunch

3pm - small snack meal

6pm - dinner

8pm - last snack meal

I know that's only about five, but it means you can fast after 8pm and since you're only getting up at 10am it means there's less hours in the day for you to seperate out the meals.

depends upon when you workout....is it first thing in the morning or later in the day.....i would alternate whole food meals with protein shakes (allows for easier digestion)....

I wouldnt fast at all.....why slow down the digestive process?

My last meal would be a protein shake right be 1am

Say I were to work out in the evening how would that make my food intake different? and also, does protein shakes speed up weight loss or what? sorry I'm just intrigued smile

Fasting would just lead to snacking in my books!

It wouldnt necessarily make your food intake different......i just want my protein shake to be my meal, 2 hours before I touch the weights as it is easier on the body to breakdown, so I alternate the whole meal and protein shakes accordingly to fit my workout schedule for the day

i wouldnt necessarily say protein shakes will speed up weight loss (as protein >>> carbs)

As you have to remember: the diet plan needs to compliment the workout plan and vice versa

Do you really have to take all 6 meals? Considering the time you have given why not try only 3 healthy meals? 11am, 3pm and 7pm only, since you sleep late, if you still crave after dinner, just take diet fruit juice or alkaline water. No more solid food 6 hours before you sleep.

Good idea, sounds like a good plan. Nothing wrong with lots of water.
