CureYourBody.com is excited to announce the launch of
its new forums. The next several months will be critical to setting up the
forums the way you want them to be. So
if you feel we should add more categories or sub forums, please let us know.
We'll add sub forums on our own as well, if we feel a
large number of posts are being made on a specific topic. For example, "Colon Cleansing" was added as a sub forum to the Gastroenterology forum since there seems
to be a lot of posts for that specific subject.
Is it true that cellulite can be gotten rid of with muscle? I have some cellulite on the back of my legs/bottom of my bum, it isn't bad but I would love to get rid of it. I read that if I were to focus on toning up that area the cellulite would greatly improve, is this true? Please help!
Well I don't know how true the statement is, but I would imagine it is to an extent...I have used the powerplates before for helping with muscle toning and they really helped with my cellulite.
It probably works to a degree, but I don't know..I'm a guy and don't have cellulite thank god, but ask one of the pro's on here and they'll know for sure
I believe it would probably work as I guess you are replacing the fat with muscle = less of the orange peel effect. Try incorporate cardio activity with weights.
As far as I'm aware, once you have developed cellulite it can never truly go away. But toning and eating healthy (staying hydrated) can reduce the appearances of it. There are also some topical creams that claim to do this, though I don't know how effective they are.
I believe cellulite is caused by over abundance of fat cells and over enlarged fat cells. We make fat cells to store extra energy we consume. Most often it's the carbohydrates and fats that we consume that get stored as fat cells. If you lose fat weight, the cellulite should go away. diet and excercise will help get rid of the chunks. the fat cells will still be the same size, just empty, so they will come back if the regimine stops.

Sadly I agree with you that cellulite cannot really go away. Exercise will only make it less noticeable. Some pretty lean women have cellulite too.
But what I dont know is why there are more women who have it than men.
There are 2 types of cellulites in our body these are hard and soft celluite. Hard cellulites are foound mostly on the muscles while soft are the sagging part of our skin.
I also dont think cellulite goes away with just exercise. I exercise regularly and I am quite happy with my body now but I still have stubborn cellulite at the back of my thighs. :(
Diet has been shown to affect the development and amount of cellulite. Excessive amounts of fat, carbohydrates, salt, or too little fiber can all contribute to increased cellulite.
Smoking, lack of exercise, fatty/starchy foods, and sitting or standing in a single position for long periods have all been correlated with an increase in cellulite.
Liposuction, which extracts fat from under the skin, is not effective for cellulite reduction and may exacerbate the cosmetic problem. Dieting does not get rid of the dimpled appearance, but a balanced diet and exercise may help to reduce the fat content within the distorted cells, reducing their contribution to the dimpling.
There are various kinds of cellulites that also found under the muscles. These types of cellulites are difficult to remove since they are solid and very hard. Soft cellulites are highly visible and can give a sagging look on the body.
So the sagging part of my arms is the soft cellulite. These can be easily removed in doing exercises or if you have lots of money you can use liposuction.
No, do not get a liposuction. Liposuction is only use to get off fats and sagging flesh in the body but not the hard cellulites of the muscle. Be patient, just do your normal exercise and those muscles will be lean and define.
