Yes, you should. Low BP is more worrisome than high BP. You need to consult your physician for a thorough assessment. Don't ignore. Please see your doctor at the earliest. Take care.

I had low BP during pregnancy, too, and my doc said that it's relatively common, especially in the 2nd trimester. Have your doctor check your meds - there are lots of them that can cause low blood pressure. Take your time standing up, and make sure to keep hydrated. As an aside note to Rogers: where are you getting your info?! Seriously, go to a medical website before you post stuff that is inaccurate. High BP can cause strokes and death. I'll take dizziness over brain bleeds anytime!

There are many things that can affect low blood pressure. Some common causes of low blood pressure are dehydration, major infection, heat stroke, pregnancy, slow heart rate, abnormal fast heart rate, moderate to severe bleeding, anaphylactic shock, and medications for other treatments. Talking about the effects of low bp, when the pressure of blood goes much below the point of normalcy, it is likely to cause lightheadedness, weakness, dizziness and the patient can faint. Thus, it becomes of prime importance to keep a track of blood pressure, so as to take remedial measures at the right time.

There is no porblem if you have a low blood pressure reading because you can get as low as 80/40. My friend has low blood pressure but he is absolutely fine. I also gave him a advice that to consult a doctor because our BP monitor should be on the normal stage of 120/80.

Does low blood pressure reading assure you that you are already safe from getting heart diseases or problems?

Its not a assurance that when you have low blood pressure you are already safe from hypertension. Low blood pressure also gives you disease like anemia, heart failure and blood clotting.

Low blood pressure causes our body to be dehydrated, advanced infection, vagal reactions like fainting and hearth problems. Make sure that stay hydrated and active in exercise and sports because you might end up having neurologic problems.

IMO fatty and oily foods can't be healthy for much of anything.
Faulty nutrition and malnutrition are two most important causes of low blood pressure. Malnutrition arises because of the lack of enough calories, proteins, vitamins B and vitamin C. Some other cause of low blood pressure may include- loss of blood and emotional instability.
Pantothenic acid, vegetables, fruits, cholesterol free foods and sodium free foods has been found very beneficial in the treatment and prevention of low blood pressure.

^I agree with you cj. People who have low blood pressure are not advisable to eat fatty and oily foods. It is better to avoid them and may cause complications.

When the blood pressure is too low, it could lead to serious disease and will cause death. Eating of fatty and oily food is still prohibited even if you have low blood pressure.

Yes jim, you are correct. Most people do not understand that if you have too much of anything and if you have too low or scarce of anything that is bad. We have to be in the middle or the normal level.

If you have low blood pressure, try to eat more veggies and less fat. You can also eat fruits since they can also help maintain your blood pressure level.

Lack of sleep also causes low blood pressure. Sleep at least 6-8 to regenerate you body’s immune system and fight low blood pressure.
