If you have a baby, chances are you have had to deal with bumps. Babies just love to crawl and go places. My son has had his share of bumps. But he hates it when we try to ice it down. So one time I grabbed an orange from the fridge instead. It's not as cold as ice but my son allowed me to put it against his bump. The bump disappeared in a shorter amount of time than when we're not able to ice it down.

I always used to use a bag of frozen peas on my kids if they hurt themselves, like your son they hated it at the start....but then I started saying if they behaved they could have a few frozen peas, and to this day they love peas ha ha a good way of getting them to eat their veg.

what a clever idea ... to be able to give your kids peas that way.

i'm going to try that orange trick on my son. he loves drinking juice or water with lots of ice. but i dont understand why he wouldnt let me put it on his head. maybe the head and face areas are more sensitive to cold.

I think it's not just a good idea for bumps but also if you need to lower the temperature of your child with high fever by placing it on the forehead.

Here's my contribution: tomato, frozen slice of beef. smile

Finally, make your home child-friendly to avoid your kid from bumping to surfaces. smile
