I have tried to diet lately, but really would like a good low calorie recipe for lunch so I can eat good food and know it's not full of badness and calories. All the cook books seemed to be crammed full of crap and calories and I find it a bit hard coming across anything good online.

Anyone have any tips or favourite recipes? please suggest away

I love a good tuna salad. It's easy to prepare, you need:

- a can of tinned tuna
- green and red lettuce or a mixed assortment bag

then you can just add anything else you want. I normally add in some onion, or even cabbage, it's a nice recipe....sometimes low calorie salad cream or mayo is great with it too but always check the calorie content.

Have you ever tried cottage cheese?? it's great too.

That tuna salad sounds yummalicious! What about some low calorie soup? You could make it yourself, making tomato soup is easy enough. I've a full recipe for it somewhere, if you want it PM me!

Or even a fresh sandwich on brown bread with low calorie sauce and some turkey or ham and lettuce and tomato?

I'll give JAYk's tuna salad 2 thumbs up, but I'll probably give mine 3, with a superb dressing.

First, I would prefer chunks of tuna steak than canned tuna.

In a bowl (or a bottle) combine extra virgin olive oil (about 4 tablespoons), salt, pepper, lime zest, wasabi (roughly a teaspoon, but use your judgment here), lime juice, soy sauce and hot sauce.

Keep the recipes coming, please! wink
