Anybody know if Taurine intake can affect your thyroid?

I read that not taking enough causes problems. Also, mercury poisoning can further exasperate the issue. Any truth to this?

I remember reading somewhere that not enough taurine can mean a thyroid problems.
taurine is an essential nutrient for the production of thyroid hormones.
also MSG ingestion can causes taurine deficiency. multiplied in case of mercury toxicity, which slows taurine absorption.

so I would assume that taking taurine would help with your thyroid yes,

Taurine is one of the nutrients in milk. So does taurine affect the thyroid glands?
