hello everyone.

after giving birth to two babies, i've been carrying around 35 extra pounds i seriously want to get rid of. i'm not sure if i have that much time to exercise since i'm currently a stay at home mom taking care of my two kids. i'm kinda scared to start a diet that is too strict. but i do want to cut back on my eating. would any of you have any advice for a flabby mommy like me who wants to use her old skinny clothes again?

thanks.

Calculate your Body Mass Index or BMI using your height and weight. look it up in the internet to see how it's done. it's pretty simple. What does it do? it tells you the amount of body fat you have.

if you want to lose weight, check out how many calories you should consume in a day. basically, you'll have to eat fewer calories and exercise more. Yep, exercise. You really can't do without it. Maybe when your kids are napping, you can squeeze in 30 minutes on a stationary bike.

More than the usual diet and exercise, you need to evaluate your lifestyle and what about it makes you gain (and retain) weight. Could something be stressing you so much that you turn to a chocolate bar to make you feel better? By knowing what triggers these habits, you'll be able to plan to attack them in a way that works best for you, instead of just following a fad diet.

Eat more green leafy vegetables and lean meat. Avoid deep-fried foods. Add a lot of fiber into your daily intake by eating more whole grains. Drink 10-12 glasses of water. Besides making you feel fuller, it also helps your bowel movement.

If your problem is your appetite, try taking apple cider vinegar with water. It suppresses the appetite.

Hello Vicky! I believe this is a challenging time for you being a mom of two little kids. If you want to get your old body back, acknowledge that it's not easy. You gotta find someone to talk about it with. This someone could also be your monitor, checking on you whether you're doing the things that you're doing to lose weight. Regarding exercise, try working out for less than an hour. And don't do something you hate that you won't be able to sustain it. If you prefer walking, then by all means, walk the weight off, instead of laboring on the bike. When it comes to your eating, I think you know the basics. But one tip I can share with you since I also have a baby and had to get rid of my baby weight, is that you should AVOID DRIVE-THRUS, ORDERING OUT, and JUST PLAIN DINING OUT. If you cook at home, you can control the amount of salt, fat, and sugar on your food.
That's all I can say for now. Hope it helps!!! bouncy smile

What I can say is try to do things manually instead of relying on technology. Here's an example, run errands that are just a few blocks away by walking rather than driving. Or ride a bike. Exerting some physical effort in everyday chores can burn calories without you noticing it.

Hi, everyone, I am a stay at home mom(Minus personal training) with a 10 month old son, and believe me trying to lose the weight after him was hard even for me, my number one helper was baby yoga, you can do the yoga with baby, spend time and still get into shape, also invest in a jogging stoller, and eat more smaller meals throughout the day!

I think a disciplined woman like you Megan will really hit their goals. i hope you can help out all the SAHMs out there who are struggling with their weight. my wife did too but she got fed up with all the nasty jokes (not from me okay) from relatives. One day she decided to get up and do something about it. I saw how she reduced her portions (despite her love for my cooking) and she works out when the baby is sleeping. So hats off to all the mothers out there who are trying to get back into shape.

Have you consulted a gym instructor? He can give you the proper exercises to flatten your tummy and remove those love handles.

Discipline and patience is the key for any success. In losing weight, you must have these 2 key elements to meet with your desired weight and body.

BMI or body mass index plays a key role to determine if we are obese or not. Determine first your BMI result then research it on the net if that is obese or not. If your result is obese then you need to start to go on a diet.

I think this is a mental disorder for women. Do you agree?
