I go to the gym almost everyday because it became my routine. I do 2 sets of 15 reps everyday, but it seems that my muscles stopped growing.

Some says I should do weight training 3 times a day only, while some says I increase the weights to improve my muscle mass.

Is doing it everyday too much? What is the right schedule?

Thanks in advance.

The guideline is 2-3 days per week of weight lifting focusing on the major muscle groups first.

Weight training, along with eating nutritious foods, can really build the body that everyone strives - like lots of lean muscles and definition.

Because the forums are full of a diverse group of people, you are going to get a lot of different answers. Mostly you will get the tried and true tips that so many people are using themselves, and these are probably the same things your local health club fitness trainer might tell you. Then you're going to have the more hard core, more scientific people (g_lee, Dr.Houser, super duper big, etc.) that will hit you from angles you haven't seen before, and their advice is likely going to break the mold of the advice others here give you.

Since you seem to have been working out for some time, it might be time for you to listen to the advice of the more advanced individuals, especially if the basics are no longer working for you. You should certainly post up more details of your workout program, diet (including supplements), sleeping habits, etc., so that you can be helped though.

Chuck, based on the post that you made, you are going to the gym everyday and your problem is that your muscles are growing that much. Whenever you are exercising or dealing with any sports activities, our body, especially the muscles, need rest. Try going to the gym every other day and make at least 2-3 days of rest, so that your muscles will rest and will grow even much faster and every end of the exercises or sets strecth the muscle or muscles that you are working on.

Since you are going to the gym everyday and doing 2 sets of 15 reps, then that would just tone your body. I suggest that you need to do 3 sets and every set you have to do 10 reps only but you have to increase the weights you are using on each sets.

He also needs to take some rest days in going to the gym. Muscles also needs rest because if they are stressed you cannot get the full effect of its growth.

This is how it works for me: I go to the gym for 5 straight days and every other day I only exercise my upper body and the 2 days in between days is for my lower body. I get my upper body muscles rested while I’m doing my leg workout.

work on your major muscle groups 2 or 3 days per week. then you should let it rest and grow.
