CureYourBody.com is excited to announce the launch of
its new forums. The next several months will be critical to setting up the
forums the way you want them to be. So
if you feel we should add more categories or sub forums, please let us know.
We'll add sub forums on our own as well, if we feel a
large number of posts are being made on a specific topic. For example, "Colon Cleansing" was added as a sub forum to the Gastroenterology forum since there seems
to be a lot of posts for that specific subject.
What sort of music do you guys work out to? More specifically weight sessions, I usually find music helps fuel how much I work out..but want to know of more bands and genres as I'm about to update my iPod
Papa Roach is my workout pal,
Scars, To Be Loved, Getting Away With Murder, Last Resort
A few other favorites are
New Workout Plan-Kanye West
Enter Sandman-Metallica
London Burning_Clash
Killing in the Name
Anything with a good beat! Sometimes I like to listen to dance music (shamefully....only for cardio), for weights I prefer more rockier music, papa roach is pretty good, sometimes paramore, even sort of 'indie' bands..like the verve, oasis, arctic monkeys, libertines...
oh yeah, not forgetting rap music...can't beat 50 cent, lil wayne...that sort of stuff. really good for getting you hyped. try watching the film 300 it's ace for getting pumped for the gym!
It all depends on w ho you are as a person. No one here can TRULY recommend a music genre that will work for you since everyone's taste's is different.
For me, I like music without much lyrics such as BREAKBEATS/TECHNO/TRANCE since it's very KINETIC
LOL
But you should know what you like, electronica is great for motivation with working out.
- sum 41
- acdc
- some rap/hip hop like kanye, notorious BIG, busta ryhmes
- some techno remixes, like paul oakenfold, ian carey, freemasons etc
I've a few workout albums I bought on iTunes but they're a bit mainstream and I prefer to pick and choose what I listen to for different parts of the workout, but the cool down songs on the album are top notch.
Papa Rouch
Mudvayne
Panic at the Disco
Silent Civilian
Skillet
Unearth
Taproot
Disturbed
From Autumn To Ashes
Hollywood Undead
Adema
Protest The Hero
Necro
Great idea! If listening to music is not only fun but helps improve fitness levels, why not? I suggest you start with slow to fast music, that way... when you seem tempted to get off but the music is upbeat, it might help you forget your working out longer because you try to keep up with the music. I hope that helps.
When doing exercises its better to listen to upbeat music like techno, r&b;and pop. If your gym doesnt have that kind of music its better to have a ipod while doing exercises.
The 80’s era music is also good for working out. The most popular music then is “lets get physical”. Surely, you will be pumping more exercises with this song.
