Does anyone really know what goes on in nursing homes? How can we really be sure that our loved ones are getting the proper care? How do I know if I am picking the right nursing home for my parents and should I put them in one or not?

Well lots of people put their parents into nursing homes because they simply don't have time or space to care for them in their own house. Well I would advise going and checking out what the nursing home is like before admitting your parent(s), also ask some questions and ask around; perhaps people you already know have put their parents in there already and know what it's like?

When my parents put my grand parents into a home they checked the places out on the internet and went to the homes to see what they are like, they also asked around just in case. Don't worry about it, speak to different people and see how the homes are sorta 'rated'.

There ar agencies that maintain complaints about rest homes. The nuring home is required to provie you with the information to reach this agency. The ageny is supported by the governing agency and are not affielated with any of the homes. This is one way to be sure how the home is managed. It is like a BBB for a nursing homes.
