CureYourBody.com is excited to announce the launch of
its new forums. The next several months will be critical to setting up the
forums the way you want them to be. So
if you feel we should add more categories or sub forums, please let us know.
We'll add sub forums on our own as well, if we feel a
large number of posts are being made on a specific topic. For example, "Colon Cleansing" was added as a sub forum to the Gastroenterology forum since there seems
to be a lot of posts for that specific subject.
What does your current set-up look like? Are you training any other body parts? How many days per week are you trianing (lifting weights?) The more detail you can give about what you are currently doing will greatly aid in giving good advice on how to tweak your workouts and what not
hi guys. i have the same problem. my built is kinda small but i do want to bulk up and make my biceps become bigger. right now, they're small and skinny. i'd appreciate some advice. thanks!
Grab your ipod and go to the park! or the gym.
Chin ups on the monkey bars are a great start, in the morning get in a couple push ups, once the burn lessons try one handed push ups, and another great thing to try is weightless lifting,
not sure how to explain this, kinda like pushing up against a wall you know is not going to move, with all your strength, this tenses all your muscles.
Good Luck!
what i can advise is for you to regularly do barbell and dumbell curls. you can do this sitting or standing. but start out with the lighter weights. you don't want skinny injured arms. then, gradually move up to the heavier weights.
it's also important that you observe your food intake. are you eating enough protein for your workout? do you have enough carbs that will help you finish a set of curls? make sure that you're eating enough and eating right.
More than exercise, if your built is really small, curls might not get you too far. Eat more so you can add more mass without really getting fat. For every 15 pounds of mass, you get an inch on your arm. That comes from an increased food intake on top of the lifting exercises.
There are 3 major muscles you need to exercise to have a fine definition arms. These are triceps, biceps and pulse muscles. I suggest the Arnold press. Ask your gym instructor to show you the Arnold press.
Sit back on an incline bench holding a dumbbell in each hand, keep your elbows well forward throughout the movement, curl the weight upward and toward the shoulder level. Then squeeze your biceps hard at the top position. Lower the weights again, slowly under full control. The speed and techniques are similar to what was described earlier.
