I know that lately the emissions from cars are stifling to our health.

It is very possible that we can get sicknesses such as cancer like this since the free radicals just pollute our bodies just as they do the air.

A few days ago, I was stuck in a traffic jam for about two hours. I had to inhale obnoxious gases released from four wheelers for two hours. Because, four wheelers emit harmful gases like carobon dioxide and carbon monoxide in to the atmosphere. When we inhale these polluted gases, it adversely affects our lungs and health. I found Policemen wearing anti-gas gadgets to avoid inhaling these gases. It appears, the day is not too far off when we may have to wear some gas masks while driving. sorry

I live in a big and very polluted city. How can I help my lungs breathe easier since it is practically impossible to escape or avoid the pollution

I think you should put plants inside your house so that you can have a better brathing room if you are living in a big city.

Or if you can. You can go to a nearby province where you can breath fresh air and relax to the breeze of green leaves.

Its a bit difficult if you are living in a city and pollutions is a mass. What you need to do is go at least once or twice a week in a beach or relax in spa. Laso get aromatheraphy in your house.

Stay indoors during days when pollution levels are high. Many pollutants will be at lower levels indoors than outdoors.

If you have to go outside, limit outside activity to the early morning hours or wait until after sunset. This is important in high ozone conditions because sunshine increases ozone levels.

Don’t exercise or exert yourself outdoors when air-quality reports indicate unhealthy conditions. The faster you breathe, the more pollution you take into your lungs.

It's really hard to live in a city where pollution is high. I will suggest the same thing, once in a while take a vacation in a place where pollution is low. You can enjoy the fresh air and relax as well.

Yes it is hard to avoid pollution in a big city lets say for example like new york city. I suggest that its better to put plants inside your condo or apartments and once you get a chance on a vacation grabed it and go to to a nice quite country style place where there is no pollution and smell of good old green grass.

Can bio-fuels lessen the carbon monoxide content of smoke coming out of automobiles?

Yes it lessen the carbon monoxide content compared to regular fuels. It also has a plus factor it's cheaper than regular gasoline.

Yes. It lessens the carbon monoxide element of regular gasoline rather than a bio fuel. Research also show that it still emits carbon monoxide.
