I feel like such crap! Me and my girls went out last night and , as usual, another late-night getting totally wasted. I woke up today not remembering how it happened and I feel like such crap!

What will help me get rid of this hangover?

I usually take a b-complex vitamin when getting up from a hangover. Oh, and a red bull is great also, since it has b-vitamins in it and the caffeine also helps. Either that or coffee and you should feel better. Good luck, I feel yer pain!

There''s a product called Cheerz that works very well. I don't recall what the ingredients are in it, but I know for a fact that it is incredibly effective at preventing a hang over if you take these pills while you're out drinking.

We had a large group of us that were on a cruise for 7 days and I remember one particular night where everybody in our group let the festive mood take over and had it not been for one person in our group handing out a cheerz pill every time the waitress came around with drinks (about 20 times), we would all have been a mess the next day.

I promise you it is incredibly effective. None of us had even the slightest tinge of a hang over (other than cotton mouth) and we were in beach fit shape by the time the cruise ship docked that next morning.

I tried it... it works. I ordered some and have some somewhere around here, although I haven't had a need for it in a while, so I would have to hunt them down.

I just spent a minute and tracked down the site: http://www.cheerzhangover.com/

I have never used their intellishot. We used the round purple pills.

This might be an interesting one for Dr Houser to review (the ingredients) to find out how this actually works.

I did quite some research on this since I am the KING OF HANGOVERS.

What works for me is ibuprofen along with bananas and sports drinks such as gatorade. Potassium is a hangover fighting mineral, so try it

You need to be careful with certain pain relievers. Your liver is already going to have been pounded, so introducing additional agents that may cause liver damage is probably not the wisest move, regardless of whether it works or not.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Drink a LOT of water beforehand and don't go drinking on an empty stomach.

Rest is the best cure for that. It will let your body recover from fatigue. It is good to drink fruit juices and lots of water to wash out your system from alcohol.

The best thing that has worked for me when I do get a rare hangover is to drink water in between shots or beers. It also helps if you do not go out on an empty stomach as you will end up drinking less cuz your stomach is already partially full and also the fact that there will be something to absorb the alcohol.

Isatonic drinks are a winner, like lucazade drinks. A few of my friends use the hangover pills similar to the one mentioned above, however I was always a bit skeptical as to whether they'd work or not and how safe they are, but I might give them a go!

Try:

- drinking water after coming in from your night out, lots and lots!
- lots of vitamin c the morning after, like orange juice, an orange and perhaps a vitamin c tablet
- painkillers are your friends!!
- a good greasy meal (a nice fry the next morning) always wakes me up and takes away the groggy death like feeling

My friends are in the habit of taking avil tablets to overcome hangover. I'm not sure the contents of avil, but it seems it's quite effective. A natural way for hangover cure is, squeeze fresh lemon in a glass of water and drink. The result is quick and dramatic.

Don't drink too much! I know that sounds overly flippant, but there's nothing good coming out of that much drinking. Protect those precious brain cells!

I drink a lot of water before I go to bed, after a night of drinking. The headache that accompanies a hangover most of the time is from simple dehydration (from the alcohol), so replenishing your body before the hangover hits usually does the trick. That, and getting a good night's rest.

Ounce of prevention, etc, etc... You make it sound as though this is a frequent thing - you might want to rethink your choice of extracurricular activities! While not a drinker, I don't think there is anything wrong with moderate social drinking, but it sounds like it goes quite a bit deeper than that. Just make sure you're taking care of yourself - I can't tell you how many of my friends have done things they've wound up regretting while under the influence.

Yup, that's what I was going to say! Prevention is better than cure.

I am not an alcoholic, but everytime I have more than 3 drinks, irrespective of whether I drink vodka, rum or whiskey, I have a terrible hangover the next day.
Any cures?
any preventive advice?

I always make sure that I drink at least a 3 glasses of water before I fall into my bed after a night out- does the trick for me.
