I love my grandma very much, but she constantly denies having Alzheimer's.

How can I help her? Can i sneak some supplements in her diet that will help her remember stuff more?

Gingkgo Biloba is a supplement that might assist in helping her. It aids in memory repair and it certainly wouldn't hurt to have her try it. It is all natural after all.

Vitamin E, taken in high doses may help delay Alzheimer's disease. 2,000 I.U. of Vitamin E taken daily, slowed the rate of disability in patients with severe alzheimer's so it's worth taking a look into. This study was conducted at University of Pennsylvania.

Music therapy can help temporarily bring Alzheimer's patients back to reality and help them relate more to family members. It can even help reduce their need for meds. They can then associate music to certain events, people and this aids in memory recognition in so many ways.

Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, namely donepezil, galantamine, and rivastigmine can be used to battle Alzheimer's. What these drugs do is slow down the loss of acetylcholine, which occurs due to the death of cholinergic neurons.
It's a tough situation, deciding what the right thing is to do. Good luck.

What are the early signs of alzheimers? My husband has gotten where he has trouble remembering the every day things? Are there tests that can check for this condition? I really concerns me. He is almost eighty and I don't want to lose who he is, I love him too much to see him not knowing his family.

Indeed, dealing with alzheimer's is a tough task. Usually, it begins with simple forgetfulness of people, things and places that are most familiar to the patient. This forgetfulness persists and becomes more serious. The Alzheimer’s patient falls into the habit of repeating things and forgetting appointments and conversations.

It is vital that family members pay attention to a patient’s nutrition, not because a good diet will delay progression, but the sick individual will need sufficient amounts of nutrients especially from fruits and vegetables. Proper nutrition means less falling and stumbling and a stronger immune system. It is advisable to give your loved one plenty of time to finish his/her meal. Encourage them to chew and swallow properly. Your love and care matters most to alzheimer's patients.

How did you find out? The reason why I asked is because you might just assume that she has it, that's why she keeps on denying. Alzheimer's takes up a good amount of diagnosis - there isn't a "tell-all" symptom for the disease. People are different in several ways.
