Hello All,

I have a question out of curiosity/debate with my mother. Is colon cleansing really for everyone? My mother says my kids should do colon cleanse to get rid of the worms. My younger one is not gaining a lot of weight, although the doctor did not mention anything about colon cleansing. Now, I don't want to ask the same dumb question to the pediatrician (too shy to do so).

Thanks! smile

This is the first that I have ever heard of a child doing a colon cleanse.
I would consult a pediatrician before going forward.

I don't think she said that the child is "doing" a colon cleanse. I believe lisa_zee is just considering a possibility.

Anyway, to answer the question of the original poster, I will suggest that you stick to probiotics - yogurt & yogurt drinks - as part of the kids' diet.

I never said that my children are doing colon cleanse. And sure, I will consult a pediatrician, I just want to hear a couple of responses here. If most are unfavorable, then I don't think I even have to ask the doctor.

Thanks for the feedback anyway.

cherrypie & lisa_zee -- The comment I made was simply a comment.
It was not to imply that your children are "doing" a cleanse. That's why I commented to consult a physician before going forward. Your child's pediatrician should be able to tell you what works best for your child.

It is certainly your choice. Good luck in the matter.

Would you recommend DrFloras to nursing mothers? My coworker has been nursing for the last 8 months, said she wants to do colon cleanse too.

Before I started my venture with colon cleansing I consulted my physician to ensure I had no health issues that would keep me from going forward. As for your friend I advise the same.
Considering the products are designed for a safe natural cleansing, IMO I would think that it would be okay.
