Hi All,

I'm wondering if any you have any suggestions on how to help chronic sinusitis. I haven't been able to smell for about a year. I take echinacea when it gets really bad and this helps for a short time. I have also tried cajuput drops up the nose and a mixture of peroxide and water squirted up the nose. The cajuput seems to create more mucus and has not been very beneficial. Sometimes the peroxide mixture works to clear up a plugged nose. My nose has been plugged for at least four months. I have tried over the counter drugs like psuedaphed and other congestion medications and they simply have not unplugged one side of my nose or helped me be able to smell anything. I look forward to your responses.

Thank you so much for your help,
Shirley

No, I have not seen a doctor. Every time I go in the doctor they give me antibiotics and it doesn't help the smell , seems to help clear the nose a bit, but always temporarily and causes me to get yeast infections. That is why I am seeking a more natural cure.

Thank you so much for your response.

This is a severe case of sinusitis. Maybe the only solution for this problem is surgery.

Shirley – based on your post, you have seen a doctor but all he gave you is antibiotics. Try to go to another doctor a specialist and ask why you are having this serious illness.

Yes, that’s also I’m thinking. Better to consult another doctor for another treatment.

Your doctor is not giving you any development about your ailment. Marian is correct, consult another doctor or to a specialist like an ENT doctor.

This is a bit confusing. You said you never gone to a doctor but you were prescribed by a doctor to take antibiotics. What is the real story?

Your right Robert, how did you get a doctor’s prescription on antibiotics if haven’t gone to a doctor?

Doctor and specialist are the same. They both have the same job for looking and examining our health. I think she had never seen one and just spamming here.

^They are not quite the same but they belong in the same field. Doctors can be called specialist if they already finished their interns and master a specific treatment of disease or disorder. Hope this would help clarify things. smile
