I have been reading and leraning of the value of these two natural supplements and am amazed and happy with the results.
I learned that the apple cider vinegar with " the mother" still in is its purest raw and unrefined state, as to not destroy the healing effects it provides/ The "mother" is the term that applies to the filmy somwhat sediment appearing mattter seen in a glass of Raw aple cider vinegar. Braggs is the brand I have been using.
I bought a jar of pur organic raw honey, which is rich with antiseptic and enzymatic properties, due to NOt being heated and pasteurized and refined like a clear liquid honey one sees at the grocery store.
For a great health tonic which improves my skin and my bowel movements as well as can ease joint pain and can actually help with weight loss, I add 1 Tbl. of ACV, and one tsp of raw honey to a 4 oz glas of pure water, Stir till dissolved and drink first thing in am and before meals. I am hopeful to report lots of good results,a nd wanted to see , has anyone else seen the benefit of this age old tonic?

If you've responded so easily to these simple remedies, I'm going to take a guess . . . Were you raised in Europe or the mid-east? I'm just going on a hunch from my past experiences.

I'm originally from Punxsutawney, PA. But I've lived several years in Prescott, Arizona.

When I was in the Naval Medical Corps during the Vietnam era, I read Dr. Jarvis' VERMONT FOLK MEDICINE. It's good reading about honey and apple cider vinegar. (I'd ignore his writings on Lugol's Iodine solution. That's too dangerous to mess with in humans.) It started me on a journey in the healing arts that's lead me to where I am today.

Whoops! You'll have to rephrase your question since it's an illegal question.

In the natural health world, the word "cure" is a no-no. Besides, it's a little misleading. Modern medicine has no problem using the word cure, but naturalists are crucified for even hinting at the word. In herbology, there are no such "cures." The way I like to explain herbology is . . . "Herbology is the use of herbs' nutritional values to feed the body the missing nutrients needed so that the body can heal itself for better health."

See what I mean?

When I was in the Naval Medical Corps during the Vietnam era, I read Dr. Jarvis' book Vermont Folk Medicine. It's fascinating information about how the folks of Vermont watched animals in the wild as to how they behaved when they were sick and learned to apply the principles to their use of honey and apple cider vinegar.

Honey and apple cider vinegar have limitations. But it's good reading and gives practical information. However, avoid getting into the Lugol's Solution (elemental iodine in 10% solution) as Dr. Jarvis discusses. I experimented extensively with Lugol's Solution about 30 + years ago. It's not safe information the way Dr. Jarvis describes its use.

Apparently, the website that we are posting to is called "cure your body", right? Why do we even have to go through this discussion?

You sound offended.

I've been doing herbology for 39 years and I always suspect someone is trying to entrap me legally when asking anything about a "cure." After all . . . since Vietnam, everything's a conspiracy, isn't it? lol

Drinking apple cider vinegar can treat arthritis. When you mix it with honey, it will make the taste pleasant. It’s a healthy substitute for sugar.

So instead of sugar put honey to sweeten the apple cider. Honey is a healthy form of sweetener byt we can also use splenda.

@john michael - the original poster meant "raw honey" which has been processed differently from regular honey. the poster didn't mean using raw honey to make the taste of the apple cider to be more pleasant. lol idiot

@black car - same comment as above. the original post doesn't imply using splenda as a substitute for raw honey. duh! thumbs down

Raw honey also converts some sugars in the body into hydrogen peroxide. Don’t you worry, it only has a minimal amount of sugar. It increases the body’s immune system.

It’s apple cider vinegar. You can buy this in your local supermarket. You can read the previous post regarding health benefits that you can get from ACV.
