I take grapeseed extract, and I've noticed that it helps beat stress and increases the immune system.

I've also noticed that grapeseed extract comes in a variety of forms - oil, capsule/gel, powder. What is the required dosage per day for each of these forms?

You know, I tried taking grapeseed extract to cure my allergies and colds. Surprisingly, it really helped!

"I've heard that there is such a thing as ""compatibility"" with GSE. Some people experience oily face and acne after taking this supplement (oil form)
Any experiences?"

"Pinkcamellia, I think that the oil form is best for dry skin. GSE has moisturizing properties, thus making your skin glow.
Now for oily skin, I believe it will really result to breakouts."

I buy it from the Chinese drugstore. I don't know if it's available somewhere else.

Part of daily supplement, as antioxidant (plus all the reasons they've mentioned here).

Sure, I got it from the Chinese drugstore. Guess what?
NO to GSE!
I bought the one in gel form. I took 1 tablet. I had headache and was nauseous! I was very dysfunctional the whole afternoon yesterday!

lisa_zee, I'm sorry to hear how unsatisfied you are with GSE. It is quite surprising, because the users I know said that they did not experience any side effect. I already consulted my dermatologist, and she even recommends the supplement.
Just a question, 300mg/day is enough, but how many mg did you take?
Did you consult your health care professional about how you felt after taking the supplement? I assume that your health care professional is aware about the supplement/s that you're currently taking, right?
Finally, are you taking any form of medication or other supplements right now?
Sorry for asking a lot of questions, I also don't have any explanation about this because I'm not a professional. LOL. I just got curious.

Each capsule contains 200mg. I took one capsule the other night, and another capsule the morning after.

Pink:
With that kind of reaction, it's because you have a specific type of weakness in your digestive and/or endocrine system whereby you're not able to breakdown and assimilate the extract.
IF these are encapsulated in an oil base, then your reaction would seem to be from a slow-down in bile salt production by the liver. Bile salts produced by the liver have the job of emulsifying the fats and oils we eat so they're easily digested. With a sluggish liver and slow down in bile salt production, you can react poorly to certain oils and fats.
However, if they're not an oil capsule, it could be that the extract is the wrong "energy" for your bio-type (i.e. cool, cold, warm, neutral, hot). Stop taking if you're getting a reaction. It's not right for you.

So you also took it in gel form? What I know is (and let me confirm that), if you have oily face and is prone to breakouts, then it's best to use the powder form.

Maybe GSE is not for everyone. A lot of those who tried are experiencing rashes and breakouts.

Better ask your doctor about it. Better be safe than sorry.

I only lasted taking this for less than 5 weeks. I don't like the side effect, I get dizzy, but I don't know about the others.
