Colon cleansing helped me lose weight more quickly than I would normally by helping eliminate waste and toxins out the body.

Not only that, but your skin also looks incredible due to this process and your mind more clearer also. After the first day you feel 10 pounds lighter!

It's strange feeling but then you get used to it. What I like about a good colon cleanse is that it doesn't cause upset stomach.

There are some colon cleansers out there like Colonyx or Oxypowder. There is also one called Colon Hydrotherapy.

I am a 50 year old African American and am interested in the bennets of colon cleansing. I spoke to my Dr. today and he said that colon cleansing really does nothing for the body. There are a lot of false testimonials out there and I do not know who or what to trust. Is Drfloras the best? How long do you take it for? Are there any potential health risk?

Why don't you just listen to your doctor? I'm 63 and have had two colonoscopies. With my age and eating habits, if anyone needed a cleaning out it would be me. During both I was able to watch the monitor and guess what? The inside of my colon looked so clean you could eat from it. It was pink and slick looking because of the thin layer of mucus that protects it from anything sticking to the sides. There was literally not one speck of anything in my colon. There really isn't any place for things to get "stuck." I asked the Doctor about that and she said that's the way they all look unless there are unwanted growths like cancer. I also asked about colon cleansing because my sister-in-law does that for people. The Dr. just laughed and said that's just a scam. My guess is this stuff they show you in the advertisements is just feces that have been altered by that garbage they took.

Colon cleanser benefits is soothing our body. After we flush out or dispose we have a light feeling that all of the garbage in our body are all gone. Most of the peole stick to colon cleansing and eating foods high in fiber. Fiber is essential factor on colon cleansing.

Study however showed that colon cleansing does not prevent nor protect you in getting colon cancer. It's still best to consult your doctor about problems with your colons.

There is no truth that colon cleansing will prevent or treat colon cancer. The only way to treat a patient with colon cancer is to have colonoscopy.

A toxic colon is a major factor in the development of food intolerance leading to chronic ill health. You cannot expect to be well if the main organ responsible for ridding the body of toxic waste is under-functioning. When the colon is irritated by diet, stress, drugs, chemicals, and other substances, it tries to protect itself by producing more mucus. This additional mucus can bind with the sludge from refined foods, such as white flour, and build up on the wall of the bowel, narrowing the lumen. This layer of gluey, hardened feces can weigh several pounds and is a good place for harmful organisms to breed. Do not think because you have regular bowel movements, or even diarrhea, that you have escaped this problem. The stool can pass daily through a dirty colon and leave the accumulated residue on the walls behind. There is no need to get panicky about the amount of weighty garbage you might be carrying around with you: there is a great deal you can do about it.

Question is: What are you trying to accomplish through such a diet? From my experience in herbology, detox diets cannot/will not remove some of the conditions that cause most chronic diseases.
