I weigh 129 pounds at 5feet1. I think I am 20 pounds overweight but the BMI charts say my weight is still ok for my height.

I am Asian and I'm told that the BMI charts don't apply to Asians. Is this true? If so, do you know of any other chart that I should refer to?

We asian has asmaller skeletal frame rather than to a caucasian. An asian who has a bmi of 27.5 and higher is considered obese while for a caucasian it starts from 30 and above. Im a asian too so we have BMI as well.

Do BMI charts also check your height? If your height is about 6 feet 4 inches and above and your BMI is 30, are you considered obese if you are a asian?

Reflexology is also a theraphy for memory loss, because refelxology is a massage that deals with sickness or illness on our body using pressure points on hands and feet. It has a specific pressure to massage to cure memory loss.

Is this reflexology therapy offered via massage therapist or is this performed by a specialist of some sort?

Yes, probably that’s good for you if your BMI reading is 30. The reading shows that you have only 30% of fat in your body. So to be sure not to exceed it just eat more veggies and try to lessen the fatty foods.

It’s hard to tone muscles if you are not exercising. If you don’t want to exercise better to have a body sculpting done.

Since asians are quite a small people compare to westerner, the Max BMI we could get is up to 23. If your BMI is higher than that, you are considered obese.

I thought the Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight. Does ethnicity matter?

You are both correct Jim and CJ. In general BMI is measured by the height and weight of a person.

I think you’re not overweight. Your height is coordinated with your weight.
