Im trying to gain weight and I've been advised to increase my calorie intake. How do I do it without necessarily endangering my health?

• Aim for the higher end of servings recommended in the Food Guide Pyramid published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
• Avoid tobacco.
• Limit or avoid caffeine.
• Limit or avoid refined sugar.
• Add two or three snacks between meals -- foods that add calories along with vitamins, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates and fats.
• Make high-calorie dips for fruit and vegetables.
• Space eating times at intervals that don't spoil your appetite for later meals or snacks.
• Choose nutritious, high-calorie foods when dining out.

Just gradually increase your calorie intake...lil bit higher than what you need to maintain your current weight.

A pound of fat equals 3500 calories. So if you are going to take 500 calories a day so for a week you can gain 1 pound and 4 pounds per month.

We need to consume 1000-2400 calories a day sao it will help us throughout the day. Its not just eating right foods for low calorie intake you must also do some exercises so that you will have a fit and healthy body.

Calories is a good source in giving our bodies the needed energy to work on like sports or just for us to move. Too much calories will result to fat so limit your calorie intake at least 1800-2000 per day.
