A heavily supplemented, low-calorie vegan diet, consisting of 85% raw organic foods and 15% cooked foods, is the core of the faith-based Hallelujah Diet program. The Rev. George Malkmus and his wife, Rhonda, developed the diet and recipe books at their Hallelujah Acres farm to educate their followers on what they say is "God's way to optimal health."

"Our bodies are designed by God to receive raw or living foods, where the life force and nutrition are available to nourish our bodies and prevent disease," says Malkmus, who based the plan on his personal experience. "The Hallelujah Diet is our way of taking people back to the original diet, designed to be the best weight loss program on the planet Earth."

It's safe to assume dieters will lose weight on the plan, since the allowed foods are limited, low in calories, and bulky in nature. Indeed, it would be almost impossible to consume enough calories to cause weight gain on this diet. The problem could be getting enough calories and satisfying hunger with such limited food choices.

I think it is a great intro and health information for people new to the raw organic living foods diet/lifestyle/movement. A lot of people that are into Yoga, or that want to naturally anti-age, eat healthier, feel better, reverse certain conditions get a lot of benefits from raw organic living foods which this diet promotes, what I like about the book is it explains the Biblical references and spiritual reasons which are just as important and health reasons to eat a more organic all natural way. When you feel good, healthy, young, vibrant and strong you can help more people and reflect more goodness in the world. I have read that some people feel that some of the raw organic living recipes may be too simple but there are a lot of different raw organic recipe books that have more complex, gourmet and exciting recipes to try. I think this is a great diet, book and intro.

Ok, so Hallelujah diet looks healthy, yes.

But also consider that it is designed to be taken with certain brands of supplements. I suggest that you follow the diet but skip the supplements.

The diet seems strange to me. Isn't these just sales strategies? I mean, that part where the diet claims to heal and reverse illness and diseases.
My suggestion is you talk to your doctor about this diet.

I'm on that diet. So far:

1. I feel good (generally speaking)
2. My blood pressure has dropped
3. I lost weight

The first diet is plant-based. Meaning no meat.

Once upon a time, I got a copy of Back to the Garden: Teaching Health from a Biblical Perspective from the hospital. Reading the title alone doesn't sound very biblical, so just like you, I thought it's a marketing ploy.
Anyway, after some time, I read the magazine and I realized that it's actually biblical (surprising as it may sound).
The caveat is, some parts seem to make you buy a couple of brands - so I recommend that take everything with a grain of salt.
