It is important for people on high protein diets to exercise because it can help the kidneys do their job of flushing wastes out of your system more effectively. Make sure you talk to your doctor before beginning a high protein diet if you have ever experienced kidney problems.

Another issue regarding getting too much protein is leeching of calcium from the bones. The acids released by the body as it digests protein are absorbed with the help of calcium. So if you aren't getting enough calcium, your body will take calcium from your bones.

There is also some evidence that eating a lot of protein can induce or aggravate allergies.

While it's a popular belief that eating too much protein causes cardiovascular disease, new research shows that a high protein diet that emphasizes vegetable sources of protein is protective to the heart. It is, though, important that you watch fat intake, because many cuts of meat are very fatty.

Research has also shown the side effects of too much protein in the diet do not include an increased risk of diabetes or cancer.

Ideally, you should consume 0.36 grams of protein for every pound of body weight, according to recommended daily allowances (RDA) set by the Food and Nutrition Board. So if you weigh 170 pounds, you need about 61 grams of protein each day. All things that is too much can be bad.

Too much of anything can be bad for you. A balanced diet is always best. If you are on a high protein diet, just dont forget to take other food groups even in smaller portions.

For male and taking protein for muscle building avoid taking or drinking soy milk. It will give you flabbiness in your body and lower testosterone in your body.

It doesn’t cause gout. It could affect the kidneys and may result to dehydration.

Any food that we eat will be filtered by the kidneys. If you consumed too much of something, then it would have a painful result. Try to imagine a filtration plant, if there is too much waste and we cannot find ways to dispose it. It will ruin our environment.

Most high-protein is based on the theory that, if you drastically reduce the amount of carbohydrates you consume, the body will be forced to burn fat for energy. Foods that are high in protein generally increase our feeling of fullness and satiety, leading to less hunger. This means you're more likely to stick to the diet.
However some high-protein plans limit carbohydrates to unhealthy levels. Elimination of bread and cereal products can result in less fiber in the diet. Also, people on high-protein diets may have difficiencies on essential vitamins and phytochemicals. Some high-protein diets also advocate higher-than-normal fat consumption. This may promote high cholesterol, heart disease and some types of cancer.
