What are some food that are good for my brain, especially if I'm studying. I heard peanuts are good for memorizing. Any truth to that or some other suggestions?

Some fun food suggestions
Cocoa - contains Flavanols, which boosts memory by stimulating blood flow in the brain
Fish - Omega-3 fatty acidsmay protect your memory by keeping brain cell membranes pliable
Green veggies - like spinach and kale help protect the brain from disease
Eggs - contain choline, which helps the body make the brain chemical acetylcholine; people short on acetylcholine seem to have trouble remembering
And yes, peanuts are good for the brain, just be careful of too much oil and fats

Fish: The original “brain food” contains lots of omega-3 fatty acids and fish oils, especially cold water fish like salmon and cod. Omega-3s are beneficial in a number of ways, including promoting neuronal growth, improved cholesterol, and fortification of myelin sheaths which facilitate communication between neurons.
Vegetables: This is a great source of antioxidants, which may reduce the risk of developing cognitive impairment by diminishing oxidative stress. Spinach, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, and cauliflower are among the top candidates.
Fruits: Like vegetables, fruits are rich in antioxidants. However, fruit tastes better. Some of your healthiest options are blueberries, blackberries, cranberries, strawberries, raspberries, plums, avocados, oranges, red grapes, red bell peppers, cherries and kiwis.
Water: Be sure to get enough to keep your body and brain hydrated. Dehydration can cause a headache now, and can lead to long-term neuronal damage sustained from elevated stress hormones.
Chocolate: Last (and arguably least beneficial) is cocoa beans, which contain the flavanol epicatechin and antioxidants. Dark chocolate is best, and avoid candy bars with lots of added sugars. Also, recent research suggests that chocolate can improve memory.

Neurotransmitters are the 'messengers' carrying messages from neuron to neuron. Neurotransmitters are made from amino acids found in protein foods e.g., meat, fish and cheese.

The fatty acids that we can get from fish is aclled omega 3. Foods that are rich in theses nutrient is good for the brain. Remove intake of sugar and caffein in your body not good at all.

Nuts are considered number 1 food for the brain because of the rich source in alpha-linolenic acid, a type of omega3 fatty acid. A mix of wallnuts and dried fruits help to gain brain memory.

I think tuna is one of the foods for the brain. Tuna and other fishes contain omega 3 and 6 fatty acids which help boost our memory.

Not just peanuts, but NUTS in general. In Germany, there's this thing called Studentenfutter, brain food for the students (and mental workers) - it's a snack made of nuts and dried fruit.
I gotta go now, I'm getting nuts!
