What’s the most exotic food you’ve eaten? What was the experience like? Would you recommend it?

I tried octopus when I went to China, and if you don't like slimy and wriggly food, I wouldn't recommend it. Taste wise, it's like a slimier and tougher squid

If you ever go to the Philippines and you're an adventurous eater, you should try balut. It's an unhatched, boiled chick. It's become like a game there to get foreigners to eat it. LOL

I don't know if it's considered exotic, but I once unwittingly ate goat. They didn't tell me it was goat, and it tasted like beef, so I didn't know

I think most meats taste alike, and if they dont tell you what you're eating, you cant distinguish one from the other. I also ate goat unwittingly and I didnt throw up or anything

Chicken resemble all types of exotic food. Chicken has a mushy taste at first so all exotic foods taste mushy.

I saw this TV personality who is always traveling around the world and looking for exotic food. I idolized him and he doesn’t surrender from the oddest and weirdest food he was served with. If I can ask him in person, I will ask if he gets stomach problems during his show.

Maybe he had some stomach discomfort since this is a TV show it wasn’t aired. Trying those exotic foods makes me vomit when I’m watching his show.

Yes, I have watched that show but I won’t be eating those grossly exotic foods. Sorry to say it ut I’m not a big fan of these types of foods.

As long as it doesn't look weird and they don't tell me what it is, I may try it but otherwise I don't think I could do it.

Did you try any exotic food?

The only thing that I have eaten that is classified as exotic meats is venison, lamb, goat, rabbit, duck, pheasant & quail but I have also read that some places / people classify chicken & turkey as exotic meats. Maybe it is the way it is prepared?

Although I am not sure if this is considered exotic but I have eaten armadillo, raccoon, bullfrog legs & turtle (soft-shell) soup. We were raised in the country and therefore lived off the land. We even grew our own fruits and vegetables.

Whoa!! That’s a lot of exotic food you’ve eaten. I guess you didn’t get any stomach discomfort since you were raised in the countryside.
