The centerpiece of contemporary Thanksgiving in the United States is a large meal, generally centered around a large roasted turkey. A very similar dinner is often served on Christmas and New Year's Day. Turkey isn't all that rich in tryptophan, the chemical linked to sleepiness after eating turkey. But eating a big, decadent meal can cause sleepiness, even if turkey isn't on the menu. A whole turkey is quite expensive but you can buy few slices and research on recipes perfect for small gatherings. A fresh turkey is more expensive than a frozen turkey because of special handling requirements. Fresh turkeys cannot remain in a food store for as long as frozen turkeys. They are convenient to use because they do not require thawing. If you are able to allow for the time required for thawing, frozen turkeys provide the same flavor and quality as fresh turkeys. eat

It's a myth/lore because of the previously mentioned tryptophan, but that doesn't act on the brain unless it is taken on an empty stomach with no protein present, and even then the turkey we normally consume is too small to have an effect on the brain. And a lot of other food we normally eat like meat, beef and milk also contain tryptophan, but again in small doses only

When compared to beef, turkey is much healtier. It gives the same quantity of protein to our body but turkey gives less fat and cholesterol rather than beef.

The side effect that I can think of is acidity. ACV is considered vinegar and vinegar is acid based.

My opinion, chicken is healtier than turkey. Turkey contains more cholesterol than chicken (although they are quite the same).

I still go for chicken. I don’t like turkey, it has this mushy taste and I cannot eat it without cranberry sauce.thumbs up

I don’t agree with you. Turkey has a lot of cholesterol than chicken. Thus chicken is still healthier to eat rather than turkey and pork.

Yes, that’s correct. I have read an article on the internet that says chicken is healthier and tastier than turkey. I agree with Michael about the information on turkey and chicken.

These are only 2 nutrients that are good for the body. You might also want to include vitamins and other minerals that help detoxifying and improve the immune system.

Chicken is still healthy than turkey but I love turkey sandwich. I eat it a lot during lunch. I have tried chicken sandwich but it doesn’t have the glare than turkey.
