I have a childhood friend,we grew up together until college, he got a job more successful than i do, so his parents thinks it's time to let go. It was a traumatic stage for me but i have moved on. He got married got kids and so do i. It's very strange because even if i don't think about him anymore,he continue to invade in my dreams. I really wonder why i can't totally forget him. I don't think it's healthy because it's useless, why can't i have dreams about my family?

Recurring dreams can continue for days, weeks, months, and even years. They are probably your unconscious trying to tell you something, a more significant issue. The single likeliest dreams to get locked in are post traumatic dreams, where you are reliving something that happened while you were awake. Soldiers or victims of violence may experience such recurring dreams. The details unfold like they do in real life but often go one step further. The thing you are most afraid of in real life presents in the dream. Be concerned about recurring themes if the content is troubling. In the case of disturbing post traumatic stress dreams, seek help from a therapist. It will diminish over time.

Thanks for the enlightenment, maybe i have not gotten over the traumatic experience that's why at times i still dream of it even if i am happy with my family now. It's a waste of time to worry about it. Maybe i repressed it or neglected that part of me that needs healing, facing and accepting it now, maybe it's the best solution. I hope it will not creep again in my thoughts awake or asleep.

I always dream of my dead grandparents. Is there a symbol or explanation about this?

There are so many different "schools" of dream interpretation, I guess it's up to you which one you believe in. In one dream interpretation class that I took, dreaming of dead relatives signifies warnings about bad decisions or influences you may have made or are doing in your life

If it means a warning, does it means they still care about me? Maybe they have a power to pray for those who are still living because life on earth is hard and unprotected.

I think it depends on the way you look at things. If you believe in an afterlife and all that, then yeah I guess it is possible that your relatives are still looking out for you. If you don't believe in that, then maybe these dreams are a manifestation of your own uneasiness about your current situation

If the dead person is someone you actually knew it may mean you should take notice of what he or she said or did, or what happened to him or her. The person is not coming back to haunt you but to advise you or to help you. In actuality, this person is a part of your own psyche, taking the form of the dead person. Such encounters may help you to fulfil a long desired relationship, or put something right. For example, you may learn to forgive the person and as a consequence get peace and healing for yourself. If a deceased partner or parent appears in dreams, the above may apply. Bear in mind that the dead do live - inside us; and that it is important to realize when this is a healthy and life-enhancing thing and when it is purely negative, stunting your own personal growth.

Dreams signify some emotional problems of the person. It is better to consult a shrink to give more meaning of the dream and access if the person is emotionally disturbed.

Dreams are made from the unconscious stage of the brain. Dreams may be the basis if the person has emotional problems. To further understand your dreams and emotions, consult a psychiatrist.

They can also interpret dreams and they base it on your mood or lifestyle. You can search on the web of a psychic who can interpret dreams if you want to spice up the result.

You can search for dream interpretation websites. You just type in the specific information on your dream like animals, events, things etc.

Just for fun, try to research it and it will give you the meaning of the object, event and people on your dream.
