I have heard there are 80 different massage therapy. What do you think is the best massage style for an overwork mom? I only tried the traditional "hilot".

Before you can decide which massage style is best for you, you need to ask yourself a question. Do you simply want a massage for relaxation and stress control? Or do you need symptom relief or help with a certain health condition? Before booking a massage, let the therapist know what you're looking for and ask which style the therapist uses. Many use more than one style. Or the therapist may customize your massage, depending on your age, condition, or any special needs or goals you have.

The most common type of massage is Swedish massage therapy. It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing.

Massage therapy targets to remove stress. One type of massage is holistic massgae. It's a head to to foot massage, and uses oils to have a soothing and relaxing stress reliever.

Don’t massage a person with high fever, cancer, tuberculosis and other chronic or infectious conditions because it might spread the disease throughout the body.

If you have a massage for the first time, deep tissue soreness will be felt for a few days. The soreness is the lactic acid that was built from the muscles on your body when it was contracted.

I don’t think so. Massage therapy only relieves stress and tension off the body. It doesn’t help to cure chronic diseases.

Is everyone on the same page here? Massage is not only luxury massage. There are pain and rehabilitation centers that offer "therapeutic massage" which aims to correct chronic pain.

Makes sense?

Yes, my brother went to a therapeutic massage center for his broken leg. They helped him walk again thru their strategic massage and exercises.

This is being performed by a physical therapist. Athletes, when they get injured, undergo therapeutic massage so that they can rejuvenate back into shape.

Yes, it is. Massage has a disease that can cure, if you don’t believe you better think twice. Stress is a common disease nowadays and massage is one cure for this.
