Why do we faint? Is it really serious if you faint all the time?

Fainting is a sudden, brief loss of consciousness. When people faint, or pass out, they usually fall down. After they are lying down, most people will recover quickly. The term doctors use for fainting is syncope. Fainting one time is usually nothing to worry about. I fainted during an army training and when i was pregnant. I was exposed too long under the heat of the sun,
it was so hot, i could not hardly breath and just blackout. I think i got dehydrated, which is a common cause nothing dangerous. But in your case, it is a good idea to see your doctor, because fainting could have a serious cause if it happens often in a short period of time. Take care.

Fainting is caused by a drop in blood flow to the brain. After you lose consciousness and fall or lie down, more blood can flow to your brain so you wake up again.

Fainting caused by the vasovagal reflex is often easy to predict. It happens to some people every time they have to get a shot or they see blood.

Some people know they are going to faint because they have symptoms beforehand, such as feeling weak, nauseated, hot, or dizzy. After they wake up, they may feel confused, dizzy, or ill for a while. sick green

I would see your doctor if you faint a lot during a short period of time or if it is accompanied by tingling/numbness as these could indicate something more serious.

Temporary loss of consiousness and fainting is cause by lack of oxygen going to the brain. It can be a sign the you have a concurrent disease like heart failure, hypertension (high blood pressure), arrhythmia, hemorrhage, injury to the brain or other organs, or poisoning. It is also indications that you have less serious ailment like fatigue, prolonged standing, getting up after long confinement to bed, pain, hunger, dehydration, anemia, or fright or other emotional disturbance.

I used to faint when I still in grade school. It happened during prolonged exposure to heat and when I lacked sleep because of my homework and projects I also fainted because I was dehydrated.

Just make sure you drink enough water and stay out in the sun only for a short time.

Fainiting is a result of fatigness, not sufficient food intake mad over exposure from the sun. Well you can avoid them by eating at the right time do not pass meal and also take a rest and deep sleep so that your body will recuperrate immediately.

If possible, help the person who has fainted to the ground to minimize injury.
Stimulate the person vigorously (yelling, briskly tapping). Call 911 immediately if the person does not respond.
Check for the pulse in the neck and begin CPR, if needed.
After the person recovers, encourage him or her to lie down until medical help arrives. Even if you believe the cause of the fainting is harmless, have the person lie down for 15-20 minutes before attempting to get up again.
Ask about any persistent symptoms, such as headache, back pain, chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain , weakness, or loss of function, because these may indicate a life-threatening cause of the fainting.

One can boost carbon dioxide levels by holding one's breath, by rebreathing the air exhaled into a paper bag for a few minutes, or by slowly sipping a glass of water without pausing to take a breath.

Other tactics that may be of some use include:

placing a teaspoon of dry granulated sugar on the back of the tongue and then swallowing it

filling a glass with ice cubes and water, and then drinking it slowly (the rapid change of temperature in the esophagus may shut down the hiccup response)

pulling the tongue with your fingers

stimulating the back of the throat or roof of the mouth with the index finger

while sitting, leaning forward and compressing the chest and diaphragm against the knees

Lack of oxygen would cause you to pass out or faint.

Yes, lack of oxygen will cause fainting. To prevent fainting, if you are dizzy, put your head in between your knees and slowly pull it up until you stand up.
