How are warts spread and is it necessary to have them frozen off?

There are different types of warts. Some are caused by virus & spread, while others don't.

Warts are harmless and usually go away by themselves. If the wart is painful though your doctor can give you medication or freeze the wart off.

If you are into essential oils, try using oregano (diluted in carrier oil of course) or frankincense.

My grandmother told me about this, but I haven't tried though. Use colorless nail polish, paint them on the warts. The logic is that the varnish shuts off the air supply.

This is an old wives tale though, so if anyone would know if this works for them, then post it here. smile

Lovedbymitch,

Freezing is just one type of treating warts. What it does is that it causes a blister to form under your wart. Other treatments may also be a minor surgery (cutting off the wart) or laser treatment.

Same idea with the duct tape. Clean the area, then put a duct tape.

Warts are infectious virus that grows on our skin. This virus is HPV or human papilloma virus. This is what causes the wart which is really an overgrowth of cells or benign tumor.

Laser treatment s also used to treat and remove warts. It burns out the warts o the skin by a low voltage laser. Don’t worry dermatologist prescribe an antibiotic cream to remove the burned skin.
