What should be given to babies during teething? Is there anything we can do to ease the discomfort?

TIA. smile

Chilled teething toys do help. Also cold foods like yogurt and chilled applesauce is sometimes preferred by babies at this stage.

When my son was teething, I used baby Orajel on his gum and it did provide relief.

There are various powders and gels on the market to help with teething. I used something called Bickiepegs but they didn't work. Also wet a flannel with cold water and let them suck on it- does the trick.

I don't think it's the same for all teething babies. Some babies do well with teething - no discomfort. Mine, I tried tylenol for babies but it doesn't help ease the comfort.

Hi pinkcamellia,

I have tried using teething tablets before. You can try to put it directly under the tongue, or maybe the cheek. I believe it dissolves quickly so babies don't really mind the taste.

Good luck!

^Teething tablets do not work for every child either. Aside from Tylenol, I also tried Mortin - did not work either, unfortunately.
