Hello,
My name is Lise and I live in Ontario, Canada, I've been dieting with not much
success and exercising 3 times a week. I still have hunger pains especially after
dinner hours and can't stop snacking. I would love to try Hoodia Prime but they
won't deliver to Canada. Is there another product out there that matches
the effectiveness of Hoodia Prime and is available to Canadian Citizens.

Hello Lise,

Hoodia cannot be shipped into Canada currently, so it doesn't matter who you try to order it from here in the USA, you have the high possibility that it will get impounded and you'll lose money.

The company sending it to you would be breaking the law and risking action against their company. If they are a small company, they may not even know that they are not supposed to ship to Canada.

If this company is based out of Canada and is approved for resale there, then you might be OK, but you should check into the laws about this (I dont know much about Canadian law, although others here might be able to chime in.)

Check into a product called Caralluma as a Hoodia alternative. It's showing some good promise as an appetite suppresent and works differently than the way Hoodia does. Again, I don't know if this is a banned ingredient in Canada though, so check that out.

Hoodia is definetely available in Canada, I have purchase it a
few times here as well, I can still go to the local health food store and
purchase it, but the products weren't very good.
I think its a custom issue, this is a paragraph of what I found
on the Environment Canada Website. If the company gets
a permit they should be able to export it.
I still will try to obtain this product, being from Canada doesn't stop
me from getting whatI need.

Consumers who order without proof of a valid CITES permit risk not receiving their purchase. Shipments without a valid CITES export or re-export permit will be detained by Environment Canada wildlife enforcement officers or by Canada Border Services Agency customs officers. Officers are not legally permitted to release products without the proper permit and an importer cannot obtain such a permit after the fact.

Just an update on my search for pure hoodia here in Canada, well I did purchase this brand name Hoodia, Hoodia, from a company in Whitby, Ontario and they advertise that it should work but they also state that it might not work for everyone, now what does that mean, well anyways I have tried it for 7 days straight and lo and behold it does not work for me. The dose of there product is 400mg, so I did up the dose to 3 and still nothing. I felt more hungry then before.

Now what I don't understand is how can a herb like hoodia work for others but not for me, I have a hard time beleiving this.

I did manage to get hoodia prime here in Canada and will be trying tomorrow to see if the product works.

I just ordered hoodia prime from natures Biology and i live in alberta canada. I don't understand the other posts from canada, saying they couldn't get it? What i undertsand is that if worse comes to worse, I mght get an extra charge of $12.00 from customs like I did when I ordered ALLI....

Yes, that's the company, I guess now you can order from Canada, Yu p p i e..... I've been waiting for this for awhile, I lost 12 pounds on it that was when I quit smoking as well. The $12.00 from customs is inevitable is kind of sucks. I am going to check on the website if I can order Acai Berry now, I would like to give that a try. Good luck and happy weight loss, Lise

How many hoodia products did you consume to get your targeted weight?

I am still taking 4 capsules a day 2 in the morning and 2 before dinner, to maintain my weight, since I quit smoking I eat everything in sight, so the only way I don't gain is if I keep taking it. My reason to continue is purely my choice, I have obtain my weight goal in a matter of 3 months at about 1lb a week. I just started taking Acai and I am really enjoying, it's giving me a feeling of being really full combined with the hoodia. I know these products can get expensive, but i am saving a lot of money by not smoking and not consuming all the junk food. All the best, Lise
