I've recently taken up running as a way to lose all my post-pregnancy fat. What food do you recommend to help out my running regimen?

Although most women say that diet is the quickest way to lose weight after giving birth, experts say a dramatic cut in calories is not the best way to begin – particularly if you are breastfeeding. Good news is breastfeeding burns calories. It can help mothers lose extra weight gained during pregnancy. Moreover, regardless of what exercises you do, pay close attention to the warning signs of trouble and seek medical attention if any of these symptoms appear:

Excessive bleeding
Pelvic or abdominal pain
Extreme shortness of breath
Exhaustion after even mild exercise
Muscle soreness that does not go away within a day or 2

According to my friends who are serious runners (me, I just run ocassionally, too lazy. haha), these are the best food for runners

- almonds
- eggs
- sweet potatoes
- whole grain cereal with protein
- oranges
- mixed salad greens
- whole grain bread

But yeah, you should check with your ob first if it's okay for you to go running after giving birth

Drink more water keeps the electrolytes in your body during running and prevents dehydration. Eat foods rich in potassium like banans and potatoes since it will help decresae sodium in your body. Try to take multivitamins for body supplements.

I eat a breakfast bar about 45 min to an hour before doing my stretches and then go out jogging. Haven't had any weird side effects.
