My mom has a friend with Hepatitis C and she had Hepatitis but doesn't have it anymore. She thinks by accident, she might have drank his drink. Could she get Hepatitis again?

The role of oral fluids in Hepatitis C Virus transmission still remains controversial.Still there are some cases that it may transfer through oral fluid. But what i must say is until you have some dental and oral diseases you have less chances of infection.

I'm sorry to report, but there is NO cure for hepatitis C, although proper treatment can cause the level of virus in your blood to become so low that it is not detectable. Proper management must be life long.

Spread by contact with the blood or body fluids of an infected person, nearly anyone that is infected can spread the disease, even if they are without symptoms and have had normal bloodwork. Sharing drug paraphenelia and injection of illegal drugs is a main way that the virus is spread. Keep in mind, however, that sharing razors, nail files, clippers and toothbrushes can also spread Hep C.
