Why is wholegrain good for us? What are the best foods to have that contain wholegrain?

It lessens the risk of some common diseases like heart disease and diabetes. It's also good for people who want to maintain good body weight, since it's low in fat but rich in carbs. Some good sources are bread, cereals, flour, pasta. You just have to check the label and make sure it says wholegrain

Whole corn, popcorn, whole rye,rye bread, rolled oats, whole wheat, whole barley, malted barley, whole rice and brown rice. But there are few things to look out for in the supermarket like checking banners,labels and ingredients list to find wholegrain. Wholegrain is the body's source of fibre and energy, regularly eating whole grains can have a number of immediate and long term health benefits.

Oatmeal, whole wheat, barley, rye, millet, quinoa, brown rice, and wild rice are examples of wholegrain foods. Wholegrain is said to help reduce the risk of heart disease and lower cholesterol. Something like oatmeal for breakfast will keep you feeling full up until lunchtime.

Wholegrain supply fiber in our body. Whole grain breads have more nutrients than white bread because it has not yet been processed.

The main benefits of eating whole grain foods are lowering bad cholesterol and prevents getting colon cancer. Foods that are considered whole grain are oatmeal, whole grain bread, bran and corn.
