A study in a small Swedish town, found that The percentage of 70-year-olds saying they are having sex has increased over the past 30 years.

Nearly all married men surveyed, have reported having sex today, compared to about only half of them in 1970, and more than half the married women (compared to 38% in 1970.)

Are you still enjoying sex now as much as you did in your 20s, 30s or 40s? How has it changed?

We're just in our 50s, not 70s but sex is different from when we were younger. We are both older and go for the quality rather than quantity. I think its better now since we are more interested in pleasing each other than just "doing it" if you know what I mean.

Normal aging brings physical changes in both men and women. These changes sometimes affect one's ability to have and enjoy sex with another person. Some women enjoy sex more as they grow older. After menopause or a hysterectomy, they may no longer fear an unwanted pregnancy. They may feel freer to enjoy sex.

Some older people, especially women, may have trouble finding a partner with whom they can share any type of intimacy. Women live longer than men, so there are more of them. In 2000 women over age 65 outnumbered older men by 100 to 70. Doing activities that other seniors enjoy or going places where older people gather are ways to meet new people. Some ideas include mall walking, senior centers, adult education classes at a community college, or day trips sponsored by your city or county recreation department.

There is a lot you can do to continue an active sex life. Follow a healthy lifestyle-exercise, eat good food, drink plenty of fluids like water or juices, don't smoke, and avoid alcohol. Try to reduce the stress in your life. See your doctor regularly. And keep a positive outlook on life.

We all heard that in slowing the aging process you have to get good sexual activity. For me this is correct. Brecause sex is one form of exercise that keeps your blood circulating and also a cardio exercise. Antyhing that you feel good and releasing good ormones makes you even better and healthier.

I saw my mother got less and less interested to be with my dad physically when she hit her menopause so could women have a better sexual activity when older?

I also want to ask if the pleasurable practices and areas when you were younger are still the practices and areas you prefer when you get older.

Viagra is not designed for women but there are aphrodisiac food that women can eat to boost sexual sensation of women. Try to eat chocolates, oysters, red wine etc.

Yes, all men need testosterone to boost sexual drive. We have to consult a doctor on this as we get old.

Women can also use Viagra to improve our libido. Keep in mind that Viagra doesn’t help us women get the urge of having sex, it just helps us lubricate. smile

To prevent sexual aging, old couples must explore more about themselves to enhance their sexual drive.

Some old couples still say that to have a better sexual drive they think that’s still their honeymoon. This type of mentally really helps old couples burn the flame for sex.
