Can we skip meals to reduce weight? Is skipping meals a good way to lose weight?

In my experience, it isn't really. Skipping meals tends to make you eat more once you do take a meal. Instead of skipping meals, I recommend that you lessen your intake of food that is high in carbs. But don't skip, especially breakfast. I'm no nutritionist, but this is what has worked for me so far

I always find if I skip meals then I eat more and eat unhealthy foods to try and boost my waning energy- I don't think that is a healthy way to do things!

Many skip meals with a view to reduce their weight. But, it is not a scientific way to do so. You may temporarily lose weight, but once you resume your normal eating, you are likely to regain the lost weight. It is also not healthy to skip meals. Smaller meals are better than skipping meals.

Trust me, it doesn't help. Your body misses the food and piles on even more on your next meal. So don't skip meals, not worth it.

I do skip breakfast as I am always running late. I only manage to grab a glass of milk or a banana or apple at other times, and I always thought it would mean that many less calories to lose. Does this mean, I might be making a mistake?

And yet, I have always been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If I skip breakfast, by lunch time I am so starved that I tend to cram more food.

It is not good to skip meals if you want to lose weight. You will gain fat because the metabolism works best when it’s burning food. If there is no food to burn it will go to starvation mode and it won’t create energy for the body.

Rather than skip a meal why not grab a fruit or a snack bar to supplement. Even the Slim Fast ready to drink meals are worth having at this point.
