I plan to start a weight loss program on 1 Sept. I have 5 months to lose about 40 lbs. Currently I do a bit of walking daily for 20 mins, and eat normal food not taking any particular care to count calories.

Any help, suggestions are welcome.

Hell that sure is a lot of weight to lose. and maintaining a diet for 5 months is nt an easy task if you have no experience of eating healthy. But you do have my Good Wishes. I am impressed if you manage to lose 40 lbs.

The bit of walking may not really be of any help. So you need to get on to a plan to work your way through. BTW, why Sept 1 and not immediately?

Good Luck Meera! Perhaps buy a digital scale and weigh yourself everyday to keep you motivated. Also tell people that you are on a diet, then you make be less inclined to give up and they can give you extra support. jumping jacks

Hi, Just my two cents to help you achieve your goal . . . . you HAVE to include cardio exercise at least three times a week and if you are looking to make the most out of your time to shed baggage, then add in some free weights to build some muscle (muscle burns fat LONGER than cardio exercise). By just altering your diet you are really only one third of the way to your goal. Tust me, I have no agenda here with you . . . just history on my part.

Regarding my use of the diet I am happy to report that it certainly did work. It also made me very aware of the need for a cleansing every now and then. Totally successful for me.

He already forgot that he started a thread here. It’s good to know what he did so that we can practice it.
