CureYourBody.com is excited to announce the launch of
its new forums. The next several months will be critical to setting up the
forums the way you want them to be. So
if you feel we should add more categories or sub forums, please let us know.
We'll add sub forums on our own as well, if we feel a
large number of posts are being made on a specific topic. For example, "Colon Cleansing" was added as a sub forum to the Gastroenterology forum since there seems
to be a lot of posts for that specific subject.
A nicotine patch is an aid used to help you stop smoking cigarettes. You put it on a fleshy part of your bosy such as the thigh or chest. It delivers a controlled amount of nicotine into your system to try and help you beat the cravings of smoking. It may not be suitable for all people who wish to stop smoking.
Yeah, smoking remains the number cause of preventable morbidity and mortality worldwide. Obesity by the way is number two for those interested in my primary area of interest on this scale. But before endocrinology and metabolism, I am an internist first and smoking is really involved in so many disease processes too inumerable to count.
There is only one disease state that smoking has been suggested to aid (ulcerative colitis) though I certainly believe the risks (i.e. - all the diseases it causes as a trade off) to not outweight the benefits so I would never recommend it. Plus, there have been (for perhaps obvious reasons) no systematic trials on smoking and ulcerative colitis which is worrisome.
So - the patch may certainly fend off smoking, but the number one offering here would be to avoid smoking to begin with (obviously).
Nicotine patches comes in varied sizes 7, 14 and 21mg. You can start in getting the 14mg patch. Put them in your skin and time release certain amount of nicotine in your body.
Hello
This new design is a result of a survey they conducted using over 2500 American adults picked at random. Along with questions regarding why people smoke and the issues they face when trying to quit, the survey asked what physical qualities are deemed most important in a nicotine patch. Over half of the respondents felt that patch flexibility was the most important thing, followed closely by how the patch looks (size and thickness).
Nicodemus CQ Thin Flex is a full 25% more flexible than the original NicoDerm CQ patch, first marketed in 1992. It is the most flexible and thinnest clear patch available to consumers today.
When I opened the package to take a look at this new nicotine patch, I was impressed. The little clear square looked more like a small strip of tape than it did a nicotine patch. While I didn’t try it on, I could easily see how comfortable and light it would be to wear. The improvements are bound to make a more enjoyable user experience overall.
